Montreux | Obi’s first train trip

We escaped from work early on Tuesday to enjoy the gorgeous weather down in the valley. Obi experienced many “firsts” (as did we!).

Cog Train | we took our first trip down the Leysin <-> Aigle cog train today. As Obi tried to figure out how not to slide down the length of the train on the steep slopes, we greeted spectacular views of the local vineyards.

From the cog train, we transferred in Aigle to one of the high speed Swiss trains. In the station, Obi braved his way aboard his first escalator!

Montreux | another sweet town along Lake Geneva where we grabbed quick and cheap(ish… it is Switzerland after all) kebabs and walked along the lake-side promenade. We really should’ve brought out bathing suits to take a dip in the crystal clear water, but settled with living vicariously through Obi’s swimming shenanigans.

Funnily enough, dogs seem to be welcome in most indoor spaces in Switzerland, so Obi walked through his first ever shopping mall and very hesitantly rode a moving walkway between the various flights of stores.

A quick walk home from the cog train station with a wet + tired pup.
