A Very Shreddie Adventure | the Nadelhorn

Freddy and three friends hiked the Nadelhorn, a rather treachers 4,000+ meter peak outside of Sassfei near us in Switzerland. After taking a small ski lift from the parking lot and then hiking up the first big chunk of the mountain, they stayed at the Mischabelhutte and enjoyed a really nice rosti dinner before somewhat freezing their butts off in the attic room. Arising around 3am the next morning and getting out on the glacier in time for sunrise, the crew got moving for attempt at a midmorning summit. A massive knife’s edge most of the way up called for more technical climbing than Freddy’d ever done before, but they made it to the top and back down again safely, only to drop Freddy off on a train straight to our work retreat in Zermatt. Quite the whirlwind adventure!
