Santa Barbara + Rt. 154
SANTA BARBARA | ancestral Chumash land
Oh, this city has stolen our hearts. Lush greenery, Spanish mission-style architecture, beautiful colorful tiles that line buildings and pathways, kind humans and some of the best food California has to offer. You can’t go wrong spending a day in SB.
Eat: Mony’s Tacos (open at odd hours, a go-to spot for lunchtime street-style tacos)
Eat: La Super-Rica (homemade tortillas and simple, traditional plates make this Mexican restaurant a must-visit)
Eat: Santa Barbara Public Market (sushi, falafel, noodle bowls, tacos and more all in the same building!)
Eat: Lucky Penny (pizza, drinks, sandwiches in a beautiful backyard area in the funk zone)
Drink: Third Window Brewing (a sweet courtyard shared with a winery, amazing smashburgers and of course, good beer!)
Adventure: Hendry’s Beach (an off-leash, dog friendly beach with lots of space for a long walk, plus cool tidepools at low tide)
Adventure: Santa Barbara Botanic Garden (native plant-focused garden, truly spectacular for a walk, hike or meander)
Shop: The Blue Door (a 3-floor collection of vintage finds)

Adventure: Lizard’s Mouth (incredibly rock formations and walking paths, 180* views of the ocean)
Adventure: Red Rock (a lovely swimming hole / picnic area down a windy road, can be crowded especially on weekends)
