Fall in Leysin | photos

Fall is lingering here in the mountains. Excluding one spattering of snowfall, we’ve been lucky to drag out the autumn season with reasonably warm and blue-sky days. I can feel campus itch for winter’s swift arrival, but the heavy doses of snow that our mountains are known for are taking their sweet time to arrive. Lucky for me, that means basking in the beautiful colors of the hillside for a few extra sweet weeks, and enjoying driving around in our new car (!!) without the added complication of snow for the first few weeks of ownership.

For those curious, we were particularly stoked to find a 2017 Subaru Forester for sale from a nearby garage, which means we’re now able to scoot around Switzerland with much more ease, and much less expense! We’ll still take the train frequently, but the newfound car freedom makes things like getting to doctors appointments and to trailheads much easier. Not to mention it’ll make our Christmas plans all that more exciting… looking ahead to and excited for our days off over the holidays!

Love from Leysin,
sbmc
