The dregs of winter
As the last dregs of winter clutched to our little mountain abode, we were delighted to welcome our first family visitor — Freddy’s dad — to our home for a quick whirlwind tour of our favorite things. A weekend roadtrip to Bern and Interlaken showed off some of our favorite Swiss sights before we all succumbed to the recent round of COVID that ran rampant amongst our colleagues just before Spring Break.
Luckily, we weren’t hit particularly hard and were able to emerge from Switzerland’s quarantine relatively unscathed, except for a bit of demoralizing energy from not being able to show Tom all the best during his visit.
I think Obi perhaps more than anyone will be excited when winter conditions finally lift — and the mud fades away — so that he’s no longer subjected to nearly-daily baths to keep him from leaving muddy dirt all over our apartment.
