Slipping into Scottish sweater weather
A conference pulled the fundraising arm of our team to Glasgow, which meant a week exploring a new Scottish city (between conference sessions, of course) and then a weekend escape to my favorite Edinburgh locals.
GLASGOW
An adventure in coffee shop “sits”, long meandering walks, sweet shops, and eating lots of yummy delights. Glasgow seems to have a cute coffeeshop every few feet, much to my delight, and our favorite pub featured friendly pups who really wanted to share our charcuterie board.
EDINBURGH
A small dose of history, a spark of cabaret, endless cups of tea, and the best not-parents-parents a girl could ask for made for the perfect, cozy end to an exhausting workweek. We visited the the Royal Yacht Britannia for afternoon tea, dined on freshly caught salmon and (of course) peas, trekked up Arthur’s seat, and laughed a whole lot. Yes, the scavenged blackberries were scrumptious.
